How To Meditate To Access The Subconscious Mind?
This is the most popular question people are asking, how to meditate to access the subconscious mind. But, before all that what we need to ask is, can meditation reprogram subconscious mind?
Meditation is the only ultimate tool that can access your subconscious mind. There is no other tool as effective as this one.
I am sure you already have heard about all the so-called subconscious mind programming techniques, subconscious programming audios, manifestation courses, or the law of attraction courses, blah, blah.
Honestly, they don’t either work at all or may work to some extent. That’s why you will hardly see me promoting any of these products and talking about it.
…Because they are both wastes of time and money…
I had burnt my fingers enough while I was searching for a solution…
I was desperate…I was not doing well in life. It’s an old story, you may get a glimpse of it here.
I did numerous experiments on myself in order to find out the best methods, few of them did work and left some significant changes, but I was looking for something more potent…
And then, I finally realized that there is only one way…
And that’s meditation, the ONLY potent tool…
The most profound tool to access the subconscious mind. Meditation works, this is the only way you can reach your subconscious mind.
And the best part is that you can reach your subconscious mind while you are awake and completely aware.
Amazing!! Isn’t it??
Before I talk more about the power of meditation and the subconscious mind and how meditation changes the mind, let me give you my methods of meditating and accessing the power of the subconscious.
These are the methods I used to follow initially, before seriously learning the deeper level of meditation from a true expert.
So, how to meditate to access the subconscious mind?
- Find the most comfortable and quietest place in your home
- Seat comfortably in meditation pose, take the support of a pillow for your back if needed, get a floor chair otherwise, or you can get an awesome meditation cushion also (extremely helpful, seating right is the most important step)
- Perform deep breathing technique to quieten the mind and heighten your focus
- Use the power of Mantra
- Turn inward, focus on your thoughtless mind
- Now, use the positive statements to reprogram your mind
Let me explain these steps a little bit so that you understand the importance of these steps…
Step#1. Find the most comfortable and quietest place in your home:
This is important, as you should have as little as distraction possible, ideally no distraction at all. Keep your phones on silent mode, just be detached from the external world as this is your time to connect with the internal world.
You got to take the plug out from one to plug into another.
Step#2. Seat comfortably in meditation pose:
Sitting straight is extremely important, the most important step. There is an incredible science behind keep your spine straight and seating, if you are interested then read here.
Your spine is the seat of the central nervous system, and that is where the Cerebrospinal Fluid or the CSF flows within and around. CSF has a huge role to play, the 3 most important functions are below…
- CSF eliminates wastes from the brain
- CSF supplies nutrients to the nervous system
- CSF cushion the brain and the central nervous system
Another important fact is that CSF contains two crucial components, Neuropeptides (nerve protein) and Electrolyte.
Neuropeptides are protein molecules used by neurons to communicate with each other. They are neuronal signaling molecules and have an influence on the activity of the brain and the body in specific ways. They are involved in a wide range of brain functions like behavior, learning, metabolism, analgesia, etc.
They conduct electricity when in a solution, and the CSF contains two such substances, sodium, and potassium. These electrolytes in the CSF maintain an electrical balance that controls the functioning of the nervous system. The nervous system regulates and coordinates all the biological activities. Therefore, the optimum functioning of all body parts is directly related to the proper circulation of electrolytes in the CSF.
So, be straight, no matter what, take the help of a pillow to support your back, or the easiest way to achieve this is to get a floor chair. Floor chairs are of incredible help, they are my favorite.
Or gift yourself a comfy mediation cushion, they are also extremely helpful and can extend your meditation session longer.
Remember, you got to do anything and everything to be comfortable and straight. So, don’t bother to invest a little.
Step#3. Deep breathing:
The deep breathing technique is to achieve a quitter mind and at the same time to increase your focus.
Take as much as you can comfortably, breathe in through your nose, hold it for a moment and then breathe out through your nose. Every time you start breathing out, say “I am focused”, this should be uttered mentally.
Perform this technique for at least 33 times (Take the help of a mala beads). Slowly this will initiate a thoughtless state of mind, you can do more than 33 times as well if you are comfortable.
More you perform this, keep your focus intact on your inhalation and exhalation, slowly a state of calmness, focus, and clarity will be induced into you.
This is the beginning when you start accessing your subconscious mind, this is the step when you have already started to meditate to access the subconscious mind.
Step#4. Use the power of Mantra:
This is the most powerful tool to reprogram your subconscious mind. This is when you start slipping into a deeper level of meditativeness. A powerful session of mantra chanting can take your brain to theta level almost effortlessly.
Theta level is almost like a no-thought state, which means your conscious thinking is gone, in other words, you have just opened the door of the subconscious.
It’s now damn easy to just walk in and see what’s inside. Now you can clean the room inside, keep things which you like and remove all the junks that are bad for you.
Man means mind, and tra means tool. So, Mantra is essentially a tool to access your mind.
Amazing isn’t it??
I would suggest you start chanting the OM mantra in this step, this is known as “the sound of the universe”, the sound at the beginning of creation.
Om chanting has endless powerful benefits. Perform this chant for at least 57 times, before you start chanting, set an intention on what change you want to see in your life.
Step#5. Turn inward, focus on your thoughtless mind:
Once you are done with the chanting session, you will immediately feel some powerful changes within you. You will be amazingly confident, strong, less ego, and less negative emotions.
You will also feel calm, fearless, and mentally rejuvenated. This is the time when you should turn inward.
It’s easy now…
Just focus on your thoughtless mind, just feel how amazing that state of mind is, calm, joyful, and confident. That’s an amazing state of mind very few people achieve.
This step is a must if you want to hack your subconscious mind.
Step#6. Use positive affirmations:
Now, as you finally have access to your subconscious mind, you can use affirmations to tune your mind into new beliefs. Use the power of self-affirmations, affirmations of wealth, prosperity, and courage. At this moment, as your mind is extremely receptive, re-programming becomes easy.
Read this post on “How to create affirmations that work quickly”.
So, in brief, this is my method of meditation to access the subconscious mind.
It’s always better to learn from an expert.
You can learn how to meditate to access the subconscious mind easily from an expert here and here, 2 of the best (Best of the best) online meditation program. If you want to learn more about the power of theses programs, then read this post on the “Best online meditation courses”.
Remember, the above steps do work, but they need a great amount of effort & persistence from your side and depending on these factors the result will vary.
Another important thing that I learned while I took the same approach is that you will continuously learn from your own failure, while that’s a great thing on the journey of self-exploration, but it will surely slow down your progress.
I spent more than a year doing these methods, while they did have a positive impact, I was still not happy.
I wanted to really become the master of my mind, and that’s only possible when an expert holds your hand and walks you through.
It’s like a baby learning to walk, so I finally gave it a go and found a master. You can find your own from either here or here. As I said, they are the best & have the most well-designed courses available online.
Now the most important question…
Why meditation is so powerful and how meditation can reprogram your subconscious so fast?
Meditation removes the layer of the conscious mind or silences it entirely in an amazing way so that you can easily dive into your subconscious.
The conscious mind is the daily mind, the logical mind where there are numerous daily activities taking place. This mind is extremely important for our daily survival. In the iceberg model, if you see, there are 3 layers of mind, this concept was invented by Sigmund Freud.
Modern neurologists will not talk in terms of mind, but the brain, whichever way it is, the concept is simple, there are specific brain areas that combine themselves to achieve a certain result, and that output is called mind.
So, if you look at the iceberg model, the tip is the conscious mind, which you need for your daily thinking, what you want to eat, what profession you would like to get into, what type of friends you would like to have, whether you like something or not, sadness, happiness, joy, bliss, anger, all that daily thinking is happening here.
In simple, all the decision making takes place here, it can think, it can imagine, it helps you to exist here in this reality.
But all the decision making that happens here is primarily driven by your inner nature, what you are as a person, and that is stored in your subconscious, who you are is hidden in the inner core of your being.
The subconscious is playing its role all the time, its what driving your decisions at the forefront. So, if you would like to see the change at the forefront, then change here.
Meditation does this job effectively in many ways…
Meditation helps you to achieve a no-mind state, it’s a state where you are thoughtless. Remember mind exists only when there is thought. No thought means, no mind.
Do you realize whether you have a mind or not when you sleep? Your conscious mind is sleeping at that time.
The amazing difference between sleep and meditation is that in sleep you lose the ability to access the subconscious, while in meditation, you are still awake and have the ability to peek into your subconscious.
How meditation can reprogram your subconscious so fast?
- Meditation silences the conscious mind while you are awake
- It removes all the negative and unrealistic thoughts like anxiety, insecurity, fear of failure to name a few
- Due to the removal of all the negative & traumatic thoughts, the brain heals faster & mind becomes strong
- A silent & undisturbed mind at the top means, it’s easy to dive in and come to the bottom-most surface of the conscious mind
- The door to subconscious lie at the bottom-most surface of your conscious mind
Metaphorically speaking, it’s like diving into a stormy ocean…
Are you trying to seek the hidden treasures of the world at the bottom of the ocean? You can never do that when the ocean is stormy, only when it’s calm, you can dive in and hunt for it.
So, calming the mind is a must and the most important step, if you want to access the subconscious mind. You must take control of your mind, your emotions, your restless thinking.
No other method of subconscious programming will work otherwise, I guarantee that.
Meditation is the only ultimate tool for you. You must mediate to access the subconscious mind, there is no other way.
